Patio Pear Tree ‘Conference’ (pyrus communis)

Patio Pear Tree 'Conference' (pyrus communis). Patio fruit trees, all on extremely dwarf stocks, very fruiting. These specially bred dwarf varieties produce deliciously juicy fruits on stems. Eventual height is 100-150cm, which makes them perfect for patio containers! This is a deciduous tree, so it loses its leaves in the autumn and makes a spectacular return in the spring. Plant this tree in a sunny, sheltered spot in moist, well-drained soil. It will grow well in most soils but avoid chalk. Suitable for growing on the Terrace or Patio, in pots and as small trees in the ground, varieties are selected for disease resistance and productivity. Fruit: fairly large-irregular-slim-green-later greenish yellow. Flesh: light orange-juicy-sweet-hard skin. Harvest: second half of September. Storage: until mid-October. Fertilization: self fertile, 'Beurre' Hardy', 'Doyenne du Comice', 'Gieser Wildeman'. Compact fruit tree, ideal for terrace or balcony. More patio fruit trees here
